Club Ethos

Our aim is for running to be an enjoyable leisure activity with the opportunity to improve fitness and, only if you want to, compete in club and county championships.

Club Championships

Each year the club organises a programme of events ranging in distances from 5K to ultra-marathon.  Club members battle it out for the club honours at the end of the season.

When and Where to Meet

Training is twice weekly on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 19:00.  The club meets for both sessions at the Beversbrook Sports Facility (just off the bypass) in Calne.

Tuesday is a club run of 5 to 6 miles around the local area.  In summer these runs take advantage of the beautiful surrounding countryside including the Bowood Estate and the Cherhill Downs.  In winter the runs tend to be tailored around Calne town in the interests of lighting and safety.

Thursday offers a more structured session which may be tailored to suit different abilities.

nb: We would recommend that you are able to comfortably run 5 miles before you come along to the Tuesday night session.

In Addition to Running

Our club members have interests which encompass more than just running.  We are proud to have several ironman finishers, tri-athletes, a desert marathon runner, ultra-marathoners, adventure racers and ‘moonwalkers’ amongst our ranks.

If your interests spread into other disciplines and you are looking to vary your training or gain some company come and see us.

Youth Policy

As a small club we cannot provide a dedicated child protection officer or a guaranteed safe training environment, therefore, we regret we can only cater for runners of 18 years and over.

Health and Safety

As with any sport of this nature you are advised to warm up/down appropriately to avoid injury.  During the winter months please wear suitable clothing including reflective items during the evenings.  Road safety is your personal responsibility.
